"CAPPUCCINO" , represents a very valuable mare line in North America, which started with the 'Trek' mare CORRIDA (Reg. no. 680) who was born in 1941 at Trakehnen by Bussard out of Corinna by Ararad. This foundation mare stood at the East Prussian Stud
Hunnesruck until her death, leaving very valuable progeny, including her daughter CORRY (Reg. no. 1875) by Altan. This mare, then produced CORVINA (Reg. no. 2309), who was the dam of the breeding stallion Coktail by Habicht, along with the mare CORETTA (Reg. no. 4161) who, in turn, produced the State Premium and Premium State mare CORDULA (Reg. no. 09/00349/79) by Rantzau's bay stallion Schiwago. Cordula, the granddam of CAPPUCCINO, produced the stunning mare COPELIA II (Reg. no. 09/01007/85) by Champion stallion Bartholdy; she was Champion mare of the Central mare grading in Traventhal in 1988 where she received the very rare score of "10" for type. She was imported to the United Kingdom by Jo Neal and Tino Passetti, where she bred her first 7 foals. She was purchased from Jo Neal in 1997 in the year Pascal came on loan to Holme Grove Farm. Her first foal, born at Holme Grove Farm, HOLME GROVE CAPPUCCINO, was then exported to Canada by Mr. James Back and Rosewood Trakehner Stud, where she is now breeding to the Holme Grove Solomon, son Holme Park Vincent.
"CAPPUCCINO'S" sire, PASCAL, graded German Verband breeding sire and successful eventing stallion, is out of the Premium State mare PEGGI (Reg. no. 2184), who was born in 1958 as a full sister to the stallion Pelion and assigned to the Trakehner Stud Birkhausen. Her dam PELLERINE (Reg. no. 09/01486/50) was the dam of the breeding stallions Pelikan, Pelligrini, Pelion, Perlenkonig and Perlenglanz. She was daughter of the notable mare PELARGONIE (Reg. no. 692) who was foaled at Trakehnen where she produced the breeding stallion Peleus and furnished very noble bloodlines with an emphasis on Arabian elements.
At her grading in 2002 where she was top mare and approved into the ATA's Official Stud Book as a *Model Mare*, her grading marks included the following comments:
TYPE: 9/10- "very nice big mare";
FRAME: 8/10 - "nice balance";

Note: HOLME GROVE CAPPUCCINO is a model mother too, having produced two outstanding daughters and one stunning black stud colt to-date.
